Tooth Extractions Bradford
Achieving Better Oral Health Through Tooth Removal

When meeting with our dentists to discuss a problem tooth, our first recommendation is unlikely to be extraction. However, if it appears that your smile and general health are at risk, it may be the only viable option to consider. At Bradford Dental Care, we make every effort to pursue alternative restorative solutions to save natural teeth, but if removal is best, you can trust that we will ensure your safety and comfort while also meeting your needs. Don’t hesitate to call our office if you are concerned about the state of your smile.

When are Tooth Extractions Necessary?

It’s important to remember that the removal of natural teeth is never the desire of our dental team. We aim to prevent extractions, pursuing every possible opportunity through dental crowns or root canal treatment. If this proves futile or the chances of success are virtually non-existent, we will recommend tooth extraction, especially if:
- Advanced periodontitis is causing bone loss and loose teeth
- Facial trauma has led to a broken tooth that cannot be repaired with a crown or root canal
- An impacted tooth presses against a healthy one, putting alignment at risk
- Extensive dental decay continues to spread and poses a threat to the bone and nearby teeth
- A baby tooth refuses to fall out, making it difficult for the permanent one to erupt
