What Happens During a Root Canal?

When receiving root canal treatment in Haverhill, your dentist will begin by administering local anesthesia. This numbs the tooth and its surrounding area, allowing Dr. Bower and our team to enter through an opening created within the crown. Using careful movements and optimal precision, we will clear out diseased tissues and remove the infected pulp.

Once the canals and pulp chamber are thoroughly sterilized, we will fill the space with biocompatible gutta-percha, which is a material used to stabilize and maintain the inner structure of the tooth. After sealing the opening in the crown, we will take impressions and produce a durable, long-lasting dental crown for maximum protection.
